More Information
I founded Nansen Investments in 1992 as an investment company that focused on Technology companies in Silicon Valley. In 1992 I got involved with Cisco Systems and by 1994 I was devoting 100% of my time to tech companies in Silicon Valley. I invested in all the big tech companies in the 90's: Cisco, Microsoft, Intel, Dell, Gateway, EMC, Broadcom, Qualcomm, JDS Uniphase, AOL, and a few start ups like Global Crossing. When the 2000-2001 crisis hit due to the internet bubble and 911, my company had to make drastic adjustments to survive. I began to diversify into other trading venues. I was investing in forex, commodities, and many more stocks than I watched in the 90's. As the years went by I focused on fewer and fewer companies. By 2008 I was focusing on only 3-5 companies. Apple was one of those companies. In the last 3 years I have focused on Apple exclusively. My investment style is to find a great company that is growing at least 30% or more a year and sells at a reasonable price. I become an expert in that stock's trading patterns and the way the market values that company through all it's cycles with particular attention to it's earnings cycle 4 times a year. I use leaps and spreads to enhance my returns. I keep 50% of my portfolio permanently invested in AAPL with leaps and spreads. The other 50% is in a swing trading account that sells before and after earnings reports and buys between earnings reports when AAPL reaches oversold conditions. I use my company website to help people to understand all my knowledge of Apple and how I trade it. With my system I achieve at least double the % gain that an investor would get buying and holding AAPL stock on a long term basis with 125% margin.
