LONDON (Reuters) - Equity funds have attracted more than half a trillion dollars in the past five months, exceeding inflows recorded over the previous 12 years, according to data from BofA, which has likened the stampede to a “melt-up” in markets.

The Brazilian Covid strain is a "real cause for concern", leading epidemiologist Professor Neil Ferguson has told LBC, after a travel ban from the country and 15 others was put in place. The Covid variant circulating in South Africa could be resistant to vaccines, a leading expert has suggested, but reckons it could take just six weeks to develop a new jab if needed.
