Outlook for platinum should be bearish. The trend in jewellery use and investment demand is falling off. The industry demand is stable. Production could only go up. The only positive shock possible is when there is trouble in South Africa causing this major producer to stop the mining. But there is slim chance of that happening since the industrial dispute of five months ended in June last year. So, look for platinum to plunge to 750 in the months to come.
