Oats Futures Discussions

Stop jawboning. I haven't bought a single product containing oats so far this year. I have plenty of oats (for oatmeal), and granola bars (haven't expired). I don't have Cheerios of any kind but I'll survive. The solution is either to force demand down with a government-mandated ban on oats, or for the capital gains tax on long positions for grains like oats to be set to 99 percent. In the meantime, have the CBOT (exchange) raise margin requirements to literally 1 million dollars per contract - but again, only for bullish trades. Market bulls have money to bid this on up? Then you too will survive.
they lost all the production oats is burn by ice the price it will be in heaven
Why down?
Why down?
Grains will all be at new all time highs. India blocked exports. Crop disaster in China. Hot dry summer for Midwest. Russia blocking Ukraine exports. Worldwide fertilizer shortage. Low grain stocks in silos. Corn used to replace gas. This is a perfect storm for all grains. Worldwide inflation and energy prices driving everything up. Prices will soon be at levels never imagined before.
any idea if oats will follow wheat price?
Rusia and Ucrania are the biggest producers

Go long and be wrong
Might be a great short. We will see
US is a major export. Even if you cut all exports you'd still be short over 1 mln Mt's Price is the function and only has just started. Rationing on oats is almost impossible for the milling sector. Lot's of trouble ahead. Oat futures will see 8-10+ $/bu. 40 year highs for good reason
Let's test the "America First" folks: To address the high prices of grains (such as oats), there should be a ban on all grain exports - indefinitely. If prices are high due to supply issues, then this measure would ensure there is enough food for citizens of this country - at an affordable price. Don't like that policy? Then agree that there should be a 100% capital gains tax on all bullish positions within grain futures. Don't like that either? Then agree that farmers should collectively return the $64 billion in U.S. taxpayer-funded bailouts they received from 2017-2020 as a direct result of tRump's failed trade war with China which left many multi-generation farms bankrupt. (FYI: Many of those farmers chose to end their own life).
