Last COT Gold Report shows Large Specs going Net Long 10k+ contracts, and Small Specs going Net Long 5K+ contracts. Commercials go Net Short 15k+ contracts. The action was marked in the small specs where they covered a rather impressive 4500 short contracts position. Commercials Short and Specs Long. Now, how has that played out before ??....The slow escalator up in Gold since Asian session yesterday had all the hallmarks of a short squeeze in the making. The action in the miners was identical with the squeeze coming in the last hour of trading. Lets see if this carries over into next week. IMO, Gold goes to at least 1169 before rolling over. There is still a considerable short position outstanding in the Spec category.
