Let's hope not!! Way too hard; spreads are too wide and the low liquidity makes for easier manipulation.

unless you're manipulating penny stocks, you don't stand a chance to make any real money.

Seems like the game that falling rig counts will cause US production to drop is no longer valid, so maybe falling crude inventory is the new game. I still think the real game is to keep prices up so banks don't need to cover hedged production. After June, I suspect that won't be as much of a concern.

not entirely. there are not as many new wells being drilled but there's still a decent inventory of wells waiting to be completed. as those are completed and turned on production will see a small bump but completion crews have been reduced as well so production could be somewhat flat to slightly increasing until the backlog gets cleared and then production will start to follow a nice decline curve.

Looks like they revised weekly production up because it released more accurate numbers for March today also, they say march production for the month stood at 9.5mb/d.. http://www.eia.gov/petroleum/supply/monthly/pdf/table3.pdf.. . Looks to me like they revised may weekly numbers to reflect the more accurate numbers they now have from March, remember the EIA is a couple months behind on the real numbers.

Exactly Larry. . For everyone: be aware to oil weekly ESTIMATE of crude production from EIA.

It makes it very difficult to speculate on production numbers that are just estimates,in the future the EIA is suppose to canvas a certain amount of producers per month to get more up to date numbers on production.
