Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Power & Energy, Land & Property and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB), which rose 20.00% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.6000 at the close. Meanwhile, Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM) added 12.50% or 0.100 points to end at 0.900 and Horana Plantations PLC (CM:HOPL) was up 11.11% or 2.10 points to 21.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Equity Two PLC (CM:ETWO), which fell 24.87% or 14.90 points to trade at 45.00 at the close. Selinsing PLC (CM:SELI) declined 18.51% or 249.80 points to end at 1100.00 and Hikkaduwa Beach Resort Ltd (CM:CITH) was down 13.18% or 1.70 points to 11.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 99 to 67 and 46 ended unchanged.
Shares in Equity Two PLC (CM:ETWO) fell to 52-week lows; falling 24.87% or 14.90 to 45.00.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.65% or 0.35 to $54.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.79% or 0.44 to hit $56.25 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 2.45 to trade at $1236.65 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.25% to 188.290, while USD/LKR fell 0.01% to 151.120.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 100.83.
