WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate on Sunday passed landmark legislation sought by President Joe Biden that Democratic backers say will bring a major reduction in carbon emissions that cause climate change, lower drug prices for the elderly and make corporations and the wealthy pay more taxes.

Debt reduction?   Didn't The Orange Messiah constantly promised us that would happen (I can't remember if it's before or after he releases his healthcare reform proposal) under his administration?
I think it was supposed to be between health care for everybody and infrastructure week.
Lower drug prices, $330 billion in debt reduction, supporting green energy, expediting approval of new natural gas lines and a step in the right direction to leaving our grandchildren a healthy planet. The majority of Americans will love it. The know-nothing do-nothings and those who do not want to see America succeed will find fault.
Yes, all that drilling in the Gulf of Mexico that Manchin insisted upon will help cool the planet.  Too funny!
Its a serious move in the right direction with concessions to both the current realities of politics and energy. It's not ideal, but the ideal is realistically out of reach at the moment and this is good.
